Statement of Qualifications
- The principals of SoftWright LLC have been developing rf application software since 1971. The software was originally designed and used within an active national telecommunications consulting firm. SoftWright is a small business as defined by the US Government and is owned by Mr. Larry D. Ellis, P.E. and Mr. Michael Wiebe, P.E. both of whom have extensive education and design experience for a wide variety of rf/wireless based applications. SoftWright has been marketing these rf system design tools since 1986.

Terrain Analysis Package - TAP(tm) - for Windows W2K/XP PC-based software to perform evaluation of existing or proposed radio transmitter sites; radio coverage predictions, intermodulation studies and radio transmitter site administration; TV and FM broadcasting, ITFS, PCS, SCADA, WLL, microwave, cellular, paging, and two-way radio system design. Software for modeling surface topography and radio coverage maps in 3-dimensions. Associated libraries of data to be used with the TAP software including digital elevation models (DEMs), ShapeFiles for streets and civil information. Engineering training classes on how to use the software to design and diagnose radio system problems.

SoftWright's customers can be found in a very wide variety of industries. Almost every type of company and government agency has the need for reliable radio communication systems. We have many customers that are large corporations that operate systems internationally. Many are small companies. Industries where we have customers include, repeater site developers, cellular telephone, site managers, 2-way radio vendors, wireless local loop providers, oil and gas, utilities, police, fire, ambulance, hospitals, emergency medical services, Public Safety, US Federal Agencies / US and Non US Military, state and local governments, airlines, railroads, universities, religious organizations, security and alarm companies, rf and telecommunications consulting engineers.
TAP is used by one-person operations with a single transmitter site, as well as by users with 400-500 sites. TAP users are in all 50 states and many other countries throughout the world. We have customers in forty-nine countries including all seven continents. Of our approximately 2900 customers, 400 are outside the US. Outside the US and Canada, we have the largest customer base in Latin America.
Over 1800 TAP systems installed worldwide.
